Fighting for the People who Make Nevada Work.

Nevada was built by workers: Nurses, teachers, electricians, hospitality workers, and small business owners who wake up every day and keep our communities moving.

I’m Steven Horsford, and I’m running to keep fighting for the people who make Nevada work.

About Steven

I know what's at stake because I've lived it.

In our community, we look out for one another. That’s the lesson I learned growing up right here in Las Vegas—that when you are given a responsibility, you carry it through to the end. Long before I went to Washington, I led the Culinary Training Academy because I believed then, as I do now, that one job should be enough to build a life on.

Today, I serve on the House Ways & Means Committee. I see my seat there as Nevada’s seat at the table where the most important decisions on your taxes, your healthcare, and your Social Security are made. And whether I’m in a committee room or walking precincts in our neighborhoodsmy focus stays on you: the families and workers who build and sustain our communities.

Too often, politicians measure the economy by stock prices. I measure it by the paychecks of working families. When tips drop, families feel it immediately — and so do I.

This Seat Is Under Attack.

Extremist PACs are already spending millions to flip our district red. I need your help to hold it.

The Five Fights

Nevada’s working families are fighting on five fronts. So am I.

This is the real work happening right now, both in Congress and across our communities.

01

Better Pay for Nevada Workers

Workers built the middle class in this country, and our state is no exception. Today, too many families are being squeezed out of the American Dream. That’s why I’m fighting for policies that put money back into your pockets, including the TIP Improvement Act, to make sure tipped workers keep more of the money they earn. Why? Because fairness isn’t complicated and hard work should be rewarded

02

Homes for Nevada Families

Two of Nevada’s largest homeowners are hedge funds; one in Texas, one in New York. I’m fighting to pass the HOME Act to make owning a home possible again and ensure Nevadans have access to safe and affordable housing.

03

Lower Costs for Nevada Families

Illegal tariffs raised prices at the grocery store and the gas pump. The courts said it was wrong and now Nevada families and businesses deserve to get their money back. That’s why I’m fighting to pass the RELIEF Act.

04

Healthcare with Dignity

No Nevadan should go bankrupt because they get sick. I’m fighting to protect and expand access to affordable healthcare for veterans, workers, and families.

05

Opportunity for the Next Generation

Nevada’s kids deserve a shot at the opportunities their parents worked for. I’m fighting to expand apprenticeships, fully fund schools, and invest in Nevada’s future.

[The TIPS Act] came from workers — Culinary and Bartenders Union members — not from lobbyists. Congressman Horsford has been on our picket lines, in negotiations with companies and the IRS. We know he’s fighting for workers, not billionaires

Rep. Horsford’s TIPS Act doesn’t just offer tax relief — it eliminates the subminimum wage entirely, ensuring millions of workers are finally paid a living wage. Tipped workers have been left out long enough.
